Makai Mason, playing with Indoor Action 14s, was very impressive throughout last weekend being named Co- MVP of the 14U bracket. Mason was very good with the ball and in the open court, getting by defenders. He proved that he is equally good as a scorer as he had 38 points in the semi-final vs. a talented Connecticut Basketball Club team. Look for Mason to continue to grow and develop in the coming years.
Also, in the Super Regionals in Foxboro, MA Makai dropped a tourney high 40 points against the prestigious BABC team.
Indoor Action Director, Angelo Thomas on Makai Mason “Makai is a special player; he has worked extremely hard on all aspects of his game. He can score in many ways, but his real specialty is making his team mates better. He would rather dish out 20 assists then score 20 points, which is hard to find in today’s players. His basketball IQ is very good for a kid who hasn’t turned 14 yet.”
