Boys Coaches

Charlie McNeil
I grew up training and playing at Indoor Action Sports of Greenfield because of my four year boarding school attendance at the Williston Northampton School in nearby Easthampton, MA.

I graduated from Skidmore College in 2007 as a USILA Scholar All-American (1 of 40 selected from all divisions combined), First Team All-Liberty League Midfielder (3rd best conference in the country at the time), and a one time Liberty League offensive performer of the week.  As a sophomore in 2005, I was the fourth leading scorer on our 2nd round NCAA Tournament team under 2005 NCAA Division 3 National Coach of the Year Terry Corcoran.  I had the opportunity to learn and grow as a player and as a fundamental coach under 2 Liberty League Coaches of the Year, Jack Sandler and Terry Corcoran.

Over the past 2 years I have been coaching prep school lacrosse, camp, and individual lessons.  During 2008 I was the Head Lacrosse Coach at the St. James School near Hagerstown, MD.  By season's end, the team had 3 All-Washington County players, 2 All-Mid Atlantic Coast Conference players, and 1 Adidas All-American Team player.  After the season, I worked at the World Class Lacrosse Camp at Wesleyen University.

In 2009 I took a position on the Winchendon School coaching staff.  In preparation for the season I worked with Tom Baker of Assumption College with his Xcel Lacrosse Pre-Season Training Program.  I also took on a position at Mount Ida College as a temporary offensive coach with a special focus on dodging and shooting.  Aside from the team coaching work completed, I found time to work with individual players to prepare each for one's respective season.
Brian Small
Brian Small joins the Select coaching staff this season after serving as an assistant lacrosse coach at Ohio Wesleyan University in 2009. He is also currently the Assistant coach at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT.

Last spring, Small helped lead the Bishops to a 10-5 record and to a berth in the 2009 NCAA tournament. While at OWU, Small coached the Bishops midfielders, defense, man down and faceoff specialists. In addition to his coaching duties at Ohio Wesleyan, Small also coached the AYO's of the Columbus Indoor Lacrosse League to an undefeated season.

Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Small was the Head Varsity Coach at Dundalk High School in Baltimore where he lead the team to the 2008 Maryland State High School Tournament. He began his coaching career at Parkville High School in Baltimore as the Head JV Lacrosse Coach.

A 2005 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, Small stared as a midfielder where he was a 3 time All North Coast Athletic Conference Honoree, and a 2005 USILA All American and was selected to play in the prestigious North South All Star Game. Small helped lead the Bishops to the 2003 and 2005 NCAA Tournaments and led the team in ground balls in 2004 and 2005.

After graduation Small signed a professional contract with the Baltimore Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse and played as a defensive midfielder.

A native of Baltimore, MD Small is a 2001 Graduate of Calvert Hall College High School where he was a standout lacrosse and basketball player.

Small currently resides in Black Rock with his dog Wylie.
