Jeff Coulson

Jeff Coulson is the founder and owner of Indoor Action Sports. Coulson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and his Masters Degree from Antioch New England. Jeff has been involved in playing and coaching lacrosse for over 30 years. He is currently an active player for the OWU Legends in the Super Grand Masters Division.

Coulson developed IAS in 1995 with the building of the dome facility in 1999. Jeff has coached several IAS select boy's lacrosse teams since 1995 and continues to have IAS select teams represented in events from Lake Placid, NY to Vail, CO. In 2005 Jeff created "The Coaches' Eye, " a new venue for high school athletes to create a personal profile and put video on display for all college coaches to have access to. Jeff has also created lacrosse showcases that have been instrumental in assisting athletes gain exposure to many colleges. Jeff and his wife Betsy reside in Gill, MA.

Charlie Edwards

Lacrosse Coordinator / Director of Ultimate & Football

Charlie Edwards is the Lacrosse Coordinator at IAS and directs the Team IAS U-15 squad. Charlie played four years of varsity lacrosse at Gould Academy in Bethel, ME serving as the huskies team captain in his 2004 senior season. In 2008 Charlie received a bachelor’s degree from the Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management at UMass Amherst. Charlie has maintained a professional focus on event management through roles with UMass Athletics, the Kraft Sports Group, and the Mount Snow Resort. Charlie coaches the Boy’s Reserve lacrosse team at Deerfield Academy and continues to play for the Franklin County Regulators of the Pioneer Valley Lacrosse League. Charlie resides in Montague, MA.

Matt Schiffer

Soccer Director

Matt joined IAS in 2014 and started as a seasonal employee within the soccer program. As of August 2018, he has become the Soccer Director. Matt’s background in soccer and youth sports has led him to this position. He played soccer at Belchertown High School, Western United, Bay State West and Springfield Technical Community College. He started coaching youth soccer in 2007 and has experience in all age groups. He is the owner and operator of Quabbin Soccer Academy, which is an organization that runs youth clinics and provides coaching education on its website. He holds coaching certifications with US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches and La Liga.

Schiffer created the Tuesday night youth clinics in 2014 and plans on continuing to expand and improve the weekly clinics, in addition to more clinics throughout the year.

Matt is a long-time employee of the Belchertown Recreation Department. Matt and his son Nathan reside in Belchertown, MA.
